Youth & Family Film Workshop for Saturday, June 25 at 2 - 3:30 pm
Celebrate the City
Youth & Family Film Workshop, Saturday June 25, 2011
What do you love most about living in this city? Where is your favorite place to go? What is the best way to spend a summer day in St. John’s?
Our 11th annual film festival wraps on this holiday weekend and we’re helping to celebrate the city’s birthday with this fun, interactive workshop. Our workshop leader, Victoria Wells, will lead participants as they create short 1- 2 minute films. Using a camera we provide - along with your own digital camera, blackberry, cell phone, camcorder, anything that records still or moving images- Victoria encourages participants to use the city as a backdrop for their creation. Once they are edited, you’ll be invited to a screening of your work.
If you have a particular interest in music, perhaps you can help create the score. If ideas are more your scene, you can help create the story. Come alone, bring your friends, or bring the whole family. This is a workshop open to all ages.
